The Gap of Dunloe

Iceland

A long weekend in Iceland

Yes, +Day DeGenza and I went to Iceland for a long weekend, and it was perfect. We went with friends, who had been before, so they knew just what to do. Iceland was beautiful, especially if you enjoy taking pictures, like I do. Taking a bad picture in Iceland would be difficult, the landscape was big and dramatic, and the colors where rich. The rich colors may have a lot to do with Iceland being so far north, and the sun being so low in the sky. The first hour of light in the morning, and the last hour of light at the end of the day, is the perfect light for photography because of the sun's position in the sky. Well in Iceland, it's in that position, most of the time. We were on our way north to see Gulfoss, and pulled off the side of the road, to take this picture, it almost looks like a postcard.
